Zsolt Hajdu was named Sports Medicine Coordinator in August 2001.  In that capacity he is responsible for coordinating the medical coverage for all student-athletes participating on Old Westbury’s 10 varsity athletic teams.  Additionally, Zsolt serves as the coordinator of the school’s NCAA Drug and Education program and manages insurance issues and all other day-to-day responsibilities of the Sports Medicine department.

Zsolt's sports medicine experience extends beyond the collegiate level to the international ranks.  He served as the Pro Tour Sports Trainer for the USTA Pro Circuit since 2002, and as the Head Athletic Trainer for USA Olympic and National Team Handball for its training camp and international travel to Holland in 2003. In 2006 he attended the San Diego US Olympic Training Center on volunteer basis to serve as an athletic trainer for the olympic teams in training.

After serving as a graduate assistant at Adelphi University from 1998-99, Zsolt began his professional career as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at St. John’s University, where he was responsible for the evaluation and rehabilitation of the soccer, softball and swim teams.  After St. John’s, Zsolt served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Queens College for one year and also spent one year as the Head Athletic Trainer at Cold Spring Harbor School District.

Zsolt earned a masters degree in sports management from Adelphi University, where he also obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in physical education.  He is NATA certified, NY State Licensed and also holds a NYS EMT certification and is a United States PTR Certified Pro.
