(Madison, NJ) Wednesday, May 5, 2004 --- Panther Park will host post season baseball Saturday, May 8, as Old Westbury (21-14) hosts Centenary College (27-11) in the opening round of the ECAC Metro Region D-III tournament. Game time is scheduled for 100 PM as the Panthers return to post season play for the first time in two years.
Old Westbury is the second seed in the four team tournament. Centenary is seeded third. Top seed FDU Florham (21-13) will host fourth seed Manhattanville College (21-18), also on Saturday. Winners will advance to a championship game, to be played the following day, hosted by the higher remaining seed, game time TBA. Seeding and tournament format were announced by ECAC Metro Region Division III Baseball committee chair Vin Masco of Drew University.
