WOMEN'S SWIMMING DEFEATED BY MARITIME, ST. JOSEPH'S-L.I. IN SKYLINE CONFERENCE DOUBLE-DUAL

THROGGS NECK, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women’s swimming team dropped a Skyline Conference double-dual on Tuesday evening at Risenberg Hall Gymnasium to the Maritime Privateers and St. Joseph’s-L.I. Eagles, 74-5 and 69-18, respectively. The loss moves Old Westbury to 0-7 on the season and 0-4 in conference action.
Sophomore Brooklyn Esposito (Saratoga Springs, NY) and freshman Laze Skepi (New York, NY) were the top Old Westbury performers. Esposito placed third in the 100 Breast, grabbing the wall in 2:16.96 while Skepi clocked a 43.02 in the 50 Free to claim third-place.
In the 200 Free Relay, freshman Melissa Spleen (Hempstead, NY), senior Kate Kelley (Napa Valley, CA), junior Inez Zuska (Brooklyn, NY) and sophomore Leeanna Ladouceur (Ronkonkoma, NY) teamed up to finish second in a time of 3:33.65.
