JAMAICA, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women’s swimming team suffered a setback on the road, dropping a double-dual with York College and the United States Merchant Marine Academy, 40-14 and 59-8, respectively, Thursday evening in Jamaica, New York. The double-dual defeat moved Old Westbury to 0-10 on the season. 

Old Westbury registered a pair of event wins with freshman Laze Skepi (New York, NY) and junior Inez Zuska (Brooklyn, NY) as claimed victories. Skepi finished the 500 free in 14:49.36 and Zuska touched the wall first in the 100 breast (1:36.09) followed by a second-place showing by freshman Stephanie Gonzalez-Ferrer (Brooklyn, NY) in 2:15.05. 

Old Westbury will be back in the pool on Thursday, January 28th when they take on the College of Staten Island Dolphins at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center.
