Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Report

www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury senior Kristopher Afum (Bronx, NY) was named to the Skyline Conference Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll after his performance during a pair of games last week. This is the fourth-straight week a Panther men’s basketball player has been named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
Old Westbury picked up a pair of Skyline Conference wins last week, beating Mount Saint Vincent at home, 92-80, and taking care of Purchase in double-overtime, 95-91, on the road. The Panthers are 15-5 and 13-2 in the Skyline Conference.
Afum averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals, while shooting 51.8 percent from the floor (14-of-27) during the week to earn the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll nod. On Wednesday against Mount Saint Vincent, he set a career-high with 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor to go with five rebounds, four assists and one steal in leading Old Westbury to victory. Afum followed his career-night with 19 points, five rebounds and four steals at Purchase.
On the season, he is averaging 7.1 points, 4.1 rebounds in 19.1 minutes of court time and is shooting 39.3 percent from the field and 77.8 percent from the line.
