SUNY College at Old Westbury

OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury freshman guard Krystina Agard was named to the All-Met Division III Women’s Basketball Second Team as was announced by the National Invitation Tournament and the Met Basketball Writers Association.

Agard, a 5-8 guard from Rosedale, New York, led the Panthers in just about every statistical category with 23.2 points per game, 4.8 assists, 3.8 steals and 1.4 blocked shots. , 36.8 minutes, 86 percent from the free-throw line and was third in total rebounds (148).

She was second in the Skyline Conference in scoring, assists, free-throw percentage and minutes played (36.8), and third in steals and blocked shots and fifth in field goal percentage (43.1%) and three-point field goal percentage (34.2%).

On the national scale, Agard ranked sixth in points per game, 17th in steals per game, 22nd in free-throw percentage and 37th in assists per game.

Previously, Agard was also named ECAC Metro Region Rookie of the Year, D3hoops.com Metro Region Rookie of the Year, Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, All-ECAC Metro Region Second Team, All-D3hoops.com Metro Region Third Team and All-Skyline Conference First Team.

Agard will accept her award at the 77th Annual All-Met awards on Wednesday, April 21, at the Westchester Marriot in Tarrytown, New York.
