OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury junior Josef Schaetzle of the baseball team, and freshman Krystina Agard of the women's basketball team, were named the 2009-10 Male and Female Old Westbury Student Athletes of the Year at the Panthers' year-end awards banquet held on campus at the Student Union on Thursday evening.

Amanda Olsson-Boman of the women's swimming team won the Athletic Director Award and Sherry Buxo was awarded with Panther of the Year honors.

The 2010 Female Freshman Athlete of the Year went to Alyssa Clancy of the softball team, and the Male Freshman Athlete of the Year went to Donny Alerte of the men's soccer team.

Dan Fordyce of the baseball team and Amanda Olsson-Boman of women's swimming were presented with their SUNY Chancellor's Scholar Athlete Award by Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. ML Langlie and Athletic Director John Lonardo. 

Men's Basketball took home Coaching Staff of the Year laurels and Kristi Ruggiero (Sports Medicine) was presented with the Ted Panteles Award by Dr. Gilda Gzwerman.
