OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury baseball program had three Panthers picking up post-season honors when the New York Region announced the 2010 ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Teams and ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards.

Junior Josef Schaetzle, who was named Skyline Conference Player of the Year, earned a spot on the All-New York Region Second-Team as a Designated Hitter. Schaetzle hit a team-leading .391 and .526 slugging percentage with 61 hits, 39 RBIs and 82 total bases this past spring for the Panthers, who finished 22-22

Senior southpaw pitcher Dan Fordyce and junior outfielder Jason Kondra were both named to the All-New York Region Gold Glove squad. Fordyce had a 1.000 fielding percentage with 22 assists in 12 games on the hill for the Panthers, while Kondra had a 1.00 fielding percentage with 46 putouts and one assist in 33 games. Kondra was also named All-Skyline Conference Second Team.
