Deslyn Applewhaite Game-by-Game Statistics l Skyline Conference Weekly Report

Deslyn Applewhaite earned her first career Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award, announced Monday by conference officials. She averaged 15.6 points, 14.0 rebounds and 2.66 steals while shooting 45.6 percent (21-46 FG) from the field and 83.3 percent (5-6 FT) from the free-throw line. Last week, Applewhaite picked up her first career Skyline award when she was named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
Applewhaite paced OW to a pair of conference victories in a 3-0 week after leading the way with three double-doubles. She opened the week with 16 points and set a career-high with 12 rebounds against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn. Applewhaite followed with 18 points and a new career-best 15 rebounds against St. Joseph's-L.I. and closed out the week on the road at Sage with 13 points, 15 boards, six steals (season-high) and two blocks.
On the season, the Brooklyn, New York native is averaging 13.0 points (4th in Skyline), 8.1 rebounds (T-4th in Skyline), 1.8 steals,1.2 blocks (6th in Skyline) per game and 2.82 assists (9th in Skyline). She also ranks second in the conference, connecting on 42.2 percent from the field.
FARMINGDALE STATE RAMS UP NEXT FOR APPLEWHAITE AND THE PANTHERS: The Panthers return to the hardwood for Skyline Conference action on Wednesday (Jan. 25) when they host the Farmingdale State Rams in Old Westbury, New York. Game time is set to tip at 6 p.m. inside the Clark Athletic Center.
