NEW YORK, NY (
www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury senior center Tavon McNair registered his third consecutive weekly honor when the Skyline Conference named him to the Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll. McNair has tallied five weekly awards during his senior season.
McNair dropped a 21 point-21 rebound double-double in a 71-70 overtime loss at home to the Farmingdale State Rams. His 21 boards were a career-high against the Rams. He closed out the week with 17 points and 13 rebounds to post his fifth consecutive double-double (eighth of season) in a 76-69 win over Maritime.
The Brooklyn, New York native is averaging 18.9 points (3rd in Skyline) and 11.0 rebounds (2nd in Skyline) on the season while shooting 51.9 percent from the field (7th in Skyline).
MOUNT SAINT VINCENT DOLHINS UP NEXT FOR McNAIR AND THE PANTHERS: The Panthers return to the hardwood for a Skyline Conference matchup on Tuesday (Jan. 31) when they travel to the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins in Riverdale, New York. Game time is set to tip at 7 p.m. inside the Peter Jay Sharp Athletic and Recreation Center.
