Martinez and Kettell score goals for Old Westbury, which also earns fourth shutout of 2013

) -The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team remained undefeated in Skyline Conference play with an impressive 3-0 road victory against the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins on Sunday evening from Tibbetts Brook Park. The Panthers improved to 5-3 on the season and 2-0 in conference action with the win, while the Dolphins dropped to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
Both teams combined for 13 first half shots and remained a scoreless match heading into the second half.
broke the scoring ice with a free kick from the top of the box to beat Dolphins' keeper Kelly Hilly for her first career goal in the 54th minute. In the 69th minute, JoAnna Kettell
doubled the Panthers' advantage when Jordan Schildt
hooked up with her for her eight goal of the season. Kettell struck again in the 82nd minute by forcing a turnover off a goal kick and finishing with the score for her 12th career multi goal game.
Defensively, goalkeeper Caitlin Thomas
needed just three saves as she and the Panthers earned their fourth shutout of the season. The clean sheet was Thomas' 12th of her career. Hilly allowed all three goals while making seven saves in just over 82 minutes of action for the Dolphins.
Overall, Old Westbury finished with a 17-9 advantage in shots, including an 11-4 edge in shots on goal and 4-1 in corner kicks.
