BRADLEY, RAGONE AND DUBIN LEAD PANTHER ACADEMIC HONOREES

Stacey Dubin Jennifer Ragone Jazmin Bradley

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - Three SUNY College at Old Westbury student-athletes have been selected as SUNY Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award winners for 2006-07. The Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award was created in 2003-04 to recognize students who have combined academic excellence and outstanding athletic achievement. Jazmin Bradley, Jennifer Ragone and Stacey Dubin garnered this honor for their achievement both on the playing field and in the classroom.

Dubin is a Selden, New York native and was named Skyline Confernece Co-Defensive Player of the Year in her senior year. Dubin was also named to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll on September 11^th, October 2^nd and October 16^th. Dubin was named to the 2006 All-Panther Invitational Tournament Team and Tallied 673 Digs with an average of 5.56 digs per game( 80^th in the Nation, 2^nd in Skyline Conference),concluding her best season in a Panther uniform.

Ragone is a North Massapequa, New York native just wrapped up a successful senior year for both the volleyball and softball team. Ragone was named to the 2006 All-Skyline Conference 2^nd Team and helped the Panthers to an average of 3.72 aces per game (8^th in the Nation), in which she ranked 11^th. On the softball field, Ragone batted .246 at the plate and tallied 14 runs batted in while hitting 2 homeruns during her senior year with the Panthers.

Bradley is a freshman from Flushing, New York was named to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll on January 2^nd and on February 5^th. In 26 games, Bradley averaged 7 points per game (182 on the season), shot 78% from the Free-Throw line (4^th in Skyline), tallied 2.1 Steals per Game (10^th in Skyline) and dished out 2.4 Assists (15^th in Skyline) per game in only her freshman year. Bradley's defense helped the Panthers to allow only 56.7 points per game, ranking them 83^rd in the nation and ranked 24^th in the nation with an average of 13.1 steals per game.
