SAAC TO HOST TURKEY TROT 5K RUN/WALK

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) invites you to join us for the 2008 Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk on Wednesday, November 19th. Race time is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. and registration will take place from 9:00 a.m.-12 noon in the lobby of the Clark Athletic Center.
SAAC will be teaming up with Island Harvest and Whole Foods as student athletes will be collecting all canned and packed food items to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island. A drop-off box will be located in the lobby of the Clark Athletic Center. Please come help support our teams and a great cause!
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a board made up of student athletes who are committed to generating a voice for the student-athlete within the NCAA. One of the main purposes for SAAC is to make other student-athletes aware of proposed NCAA legislation and to recommend legislation to the NCAA regarding certain situations. SAAC is dedicated to promoting a positive student-athlete image within the athletic programs and creating the executive leaders of tomorrow.
The mission of the NCAA and SUNY College at Old Westbury's SAAC is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image.
