What is MAKE IT ROAR?
You may be wondering, what is MAKE IT ROAR? Simply put, MAKE IT ROAR is a large group of Old Westbury students who attend varsity athletic events to support the Panthers. These events include Men's & Women's Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, Men's & Women's Basketball, Men’s & Women’s Swimming, Baseball, and Softball.
MAKE IT ROAR is a spirit group open to all SUNY College at Old Westbury students. The primary function of the members will be to promote school spirit, unity, and awareness of athletic activities through visible participation and support of SUNY College at Old Westbury athletic teams.
Attendance at games, social events, fundraising projects and service activities are highly recommended and extremely encouraged for all SUNY College at Old Westbury students.
A group of enthusiastic SUNY College at Old Westbury students united in a common cause: to do whatever it takes to show Old Westbury pride through support of the SUNY College at Old Westbury’s athletics. Our school is known for its community, and each athletic event provides us with an opportunity to display that unity for all to see. The unbreakable bond that holds us all together has been forged through years of tradition and athletic excellence. With your help, we will strengthen our reputation as one of the toughest athletic programs in the regions, and once again bring recognition to the Panther Faithful.
