NEWMAN, ESPOSITO AND CAMPISI HEADLINES ALL-SKYLINE CONFERENCE HONORS

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury head women's soccer coach Craig Newman was voted Skyline Conference Co-Coach of the Year while freshman Cassandra Esposito (Valley Stream, N.Y.) earned Rookie of the Year and junior Jennifer Campisi (Commack, N.Y.) captured All-Skyline Conference First Team accolades announced by the Skyline Conference on Monday.
First year head coach Craig Newman earned his first Skyline Conference Co-Coach of the Year nod after leading the Panthers to a 5-11 regular season mark, including a 4-5 league record. Newman's squad grabbed the No. 6 seed in the conference tourney after being picked to finish ninth in the league's preseason poll. After losing the season opener at Centenary College, Old Westbury won three of its next five matches.
The Valley Stream, New York native Esposito earned Rookie of the Year recognition after a sensational freshman campaign for the Panthers. The 5-3 forward was also named All-Skyline Conference First Team after registering three game-winning goals and four hat-tricks en route to leading the conference with 35 points and 17 goals this season. Esposito fired 61 shots and distributed one assist in her freshman campaign.
Hailing from Commack, New York, Campisi anchored a defensive group this season that posted three shutouts. Campisi started all 16 games and tallied two goals and two assists to go along with one game winner this season.
