ESPOSITO GRABS SKYLINE CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury freshman Cassandra Esposito (Valley Stream, N.Y.) has been named the Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, as announced by the Skyline Conference earlier today. The forward helped Old Westbury to a win over CCNY on Saturday with a four goal performance at Panther Park.
On Saturday against CCNY, Esposito recorded her fourth hat-trick of the season, scoring three goals in under one minute to push the Panthers ahead, 3-0. Esposito added her career high fourth goal of the game at the 31:33 mark to finish a pass by junior Courtney Dixon (Baldwin ,N.Y.), giving Old Westbury a commanding 5-0 lead. On Monday, she distributed her first assist of the season in a 3-2 loss to Medgar Evers on the road.
Esposito claimed her second Rookie of the Week award off the season after totaling four goals and one assist. On the season, she leads the conference with 17 goals and 35 points.
The Green and Ivory will return to action on Wednesday November 5th for the first round of the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament on the road at No. 3 seed Bard College.
