Craig Newman, of Cheltenham England is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America joins SUNY College at Old Westbury to Coach the Women's Soccer team.
Newman started his soccer career at the Cheltenham Gloucestershire College of Higher Education where he led his team to the Sweet 16 all four years and as a sophomore was named to the All Regional Team. From there he moved on to play for the Country/State team in England for four years. He holds an FA Coaching License, NSCAA State Diploma and a NSCAA Regional Diploma.
Stateside, since 2000, Newman was a fulltime member of Noga Soccer, in West Hempstead, new York. In 2005, Newman became a Head Coach for the Long Island Junior Soccer League in Plainview, New York. Here he led two tours to England and one Northeast College tour. Not only a sportsman in soccer, Newman also coached the University Swim Team in England for three years and is a qualified ASA Swimming Coach.
Newman currently resides in Franklin Square with his fiance.
