Panthers Win Home Opener 11-3

Old Westbury, NY-- The Panthers defeated Baruch College in their first home game of the season. Sophomore pitcher Joe Nuzzolese (Wantagh, NY) had the win allowing only 1 run and 1 hit, while registering 2 strike outs. Senior Felix Tatis (Brooklyn, NY) was the sparkplug of the offense going 2 for 3 with 5 RBI’s and 2 runs scored. Junior Rob Knips (Commack, NY) went 3 for 4 and contributed 2 RBI’s and 2 stolen bases. Darly Alcantara (Bronx, NY) went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored. The Panthers open conference play tomorrow hosting the United States Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point) at 3:00pm.
