In the final game of the season, John Jay's James DeCesare hit a ninth inning three-run triple that drove in the game winning run for the Bloodhounds, who improved to 29-13 with the come-from-behind win. Old Westbury falls to 14-21.
Trailing 5-3 in the top of the ninth, John Jay posted six runs off of five hits to climb to a 9-5 lead that would hold. Robert Fernandez got things rolling for the Bloodhounds, opening the inning with a double. Four batters later, with bases now loaded, James DeCesare hit a three run triple for the would-be game-winner. John Jay added three runs before the inning was closed out.

The Bloodhounds added two runs during a four-hit third inning, kicked off with a double by Fernandez. Sean Perret bunted Fernandez over to third and Stephen Hillman drove him in with a single to right field on the next play. Perrett would later come around to score on a single by Joshua McElroy for the 3-0 lead.
Jamie Quinn picked up the Panthers' first hit with a two-out single in the fifth and advanced to second on a wild pitch. The Bloodhounds escaped any threat, however, as Victor Carrion flied out to end the inning.
With two outs in the bottom of the sixth, Old Westbury's, Felipe Martinez, gave the Panthers their first run with a solo shot over the left field fence, his second homerun in as many games. Martinez hit Old Westbury's first homerun at the newly renovated Jackie Robinson Sports Complex on Thursday against Purchase.
The Panthers pulled to within on in the seventh when Greg Jones and Quinn hit back-to-back doubles. Quinn's hit sent Jones across the plate, making the score 3-2. With one out in the bottom of the eighth and the Panthers trailing 3-2, Alcantara blasted a three-run homerun over the left centerfield fence that scored Kevin Reynolds and Will Rada and put Old Westbury up 5-3.
