GEORGE PAGAN NAMED ECAC METRO REGION PITCHER OF THE WEEK

CENTERVILLE, MA.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Baseball team was honored today as senior George Pagan (Farmingdale, N.Y) was named the ECAC Metro Region Pitcher of the Week.
Pagan was named the ECAC Metro Region Pitcher of the Week after pitching after picking up a pair of victories as the Panthers went 5-1 in Skyline play this past week. Pagan pitched a seven-inning shutout with six strikeouts in a 3-0 win over Yeshiva University. He closed the week by allowing just one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in a nine-inning complete-game victory over Purchase College on Sunday. On the season, Pagan (2-2) has a 5.73 earned run average over 33 innings pitched with 29 strikeouts. In league play, Pagan (2-0) is sporting a .52 earned run average and has struck out 14 batters and is holding opponents to a .197 batting average in 17.1 innings of work
Old Westbury (8-18, 6-2) returns to the diamond on Saturday, April 12th for a Skyline Conference showdown at the Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex against Mount Saint Mary College.
