OLD WESTBURY OUTLASTS ST. JOSEPH'S 93-79 ON THE ROAD

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - The Panthers increased their Skyline winning streak to 3 with a 93-79 win on the road against St. Joseph's College (LI). Old Westbury featured six Panthers in double-digits, improving to 4-1 in the Skyline and 8-5 overall.
Anthony Stowe led the way for the Panthers with 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting to go along with 3 steals. Kenneth Eusey scored 18 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 6 assists and nabbed 4 steals. Garthlette James scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds (3 offensive). Divine Jackson contributed with 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. Joshua Frazier scored 11 points and Dan Kane added 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting.
St. Joseph's was 9-of-33 from 3-point range, committed 16 turnovers and allowed Old Westbury to grab 29 defensive rebounds. The Panthers had their own offensive problems, giving up 18 turnovers. On the bright side, Old Westbury converted on 34-of-60 field goals (56.7 percent) for the game.
St. Joseph's was led by Brandon Freeman, who had a game-high 26 points on 12-of-18 shooting. David Acree contributed with 17 points and Brian Fenton added 10. Jorge Martinez tallied 7 assists, while scoring 8 points and nabbing 3 steals.
Old Westbury had a 36-35 lead at half-time and came out of the gates roaring, knocking down 19-of-27 (70.4 percent) shots they took in the second half. The Panthers would have the edge over St. Joseph's 57-44, in the second half.
