MEN'S BASKETBALL TO HOST TIP-OFF JAMBOREE

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's basketball team has announced the first annual Old Westbury Men's Basketball Tip-Off Jamboree. The event will take place on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Mirelle's Restaurant in Westbury, New York starting at 7:00 p.m.
The evening will serve as a means to bring together the men's basketball program, fans, alumni, and friends to celebrate Old Westbury's past and future. Proceeds of the event will go towards the men's basketball trip to Phoenix, Arizona on December 26th-31st when they will compete in the Cactus Jam Basketball tournament against some of the top Division III teams in the nation.
Old Westbury will begin the 2008-09 season by hosting the Old Westbury Panther Classic on Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Clark Athletic Center against Brooklyn College. The Panthers will open their road schedule against Division I opponent, Hofstra University on Monday November 24, at 7:00pm.
