MEN'S GOLF CHALLENGES AT SKYLINE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

BETHPAGE, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's golf team wrapped up the two-day Skyline Conference Championship on Monday, which was hosted by Farmingdale State College at Bethpage State Park-Red Course in Bethpage, New York.
Sophomore Steven Stumper (East Meadow, N.Y.) paced Old Westbury with a 37-over 177 (92-85) to finish 12th at the conference championship. Stumper, who shot a team-best round of 85 on Monday, posted a 92 in the opening round. Junior Kurt Evans (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) followed Stumper with a 15th place finish, carding a 230 (115, 115). Junior Nicolas Tejada (Dix Hills, N.Y.) comprised the rest of the Panther scorecard, registering a 118 in the second round.
Farmingdale State was led by Matt Livolsi, who won the Skyline Conference Championship title with a two-day total of five over 145 after carding a 73 on Monday. Farmingdale State used three of the top five individuals to win the title, by 30 strokes over St. Joseph's College-L.I. Farmingdale State finished with a 598 total on the par 70, 6,800-yard course. Twenty-five competitors participated in the conference championship, which marked the first conference championship appearance for Old Westbury's program.
