Shawn Holland was selected to the 2004 NCAA Division III All Metro Region Team. This award reflects the outstanding play of individuals in the entire metro region. . Coach Prizant stated “Shawn was the catalyst in our late season run, and it is nice to see him be rewarded for his efforts. We expect great things from him over the next three years, and we are sure this will not be the last time he is on this list. Shawn is following in the footsteps of some great players from Old Westbury who have been on the Regional All-America list- Abdul Sanni ('01, '02), and Chikwe Azinge ('03)- the phenomenal thing is that neither of these players made this list as a freshman.” During Shawn’s first season he made an immediate impact for the Panthers. He finished his season scoring 8 goals and adding 5 assists. He was honored by the conference twice as Skyline Rookie of the Week and was once recognized on the Skyline Honor Roll.
