Farmingdale, NY – Farmingdale State’s Diego Grisales tallied the game-winning goal in the first half to lead the Rams to a 2-0 win over Old Westbury in men’s soccer action this afternoon. With the loss, Old Westbury falls to 4-10 overall and 0-6 in the conference.
At the 31:43 mark, an Old Westbury foul gave the Rams a penalty kick. Grisales connected on the play for the would-be game-winner that gave Farmingdale an early 1-0 advantage.
Just six minutes later, the Rams added another goal, this time scored by Bryan Marksteiner, for the final 2-0 score.
Brian Hicks finished with four saves in the net for the Panthers.
Old Westbury will return to action on Wednesday, October 26 at St. Joseph’s (Patchogue). Kickoff is at 3:00 pm.
