Patchogue, NY - With only nine seconds remaining in regulation, Eric Olsen-Tanks knocked in the game-winning goal for St. Josephs yesterday in a Skyline match against Old Westbury. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 4-11 overall and 0-7 in the league.
The two teams had battled through over 89 minutes of scoreless play before Olsen-Tanks broke the tie and gave the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead with virtually no time for the Panthers to counter.
St. Josephs out shot Old Westbury 20-10, but Brian Hicks kept the Eagles off the board until the late score, tallying 12 saves in the loss for the Panther.
Mark Tripi recorded the shutout win for St. Josephs, which improves to 7-10 overall and 3-5 in the league.
Old Westbury returns to action on Saturday, October 29, 2005 when they host Mt. St. Mary at 1:00 pm.
