New Haven, CT - The Old Westbury men’s soccer team dropped its second game of the season this afternoon, losing 2-0 to the host Falcons in the second game of the Albertus Magnus Tournament in New Haven, CT.
Despite two credible scoring opportunities, the Panthers were unable to get on the board for the second-straight game. Ian Ashton, who also had Old Westbury’s best chance in the season opener on Saturday, once again came within a few feet of the net but could not connect. Clifton Jourdain also had a chance to put the Panther’s in the stats, but his shot from 20-yards deep caught the goal post and missed wide.
The Panthers are back on the road on Wednesday, September 7 at Yeshiva before returning to Old Westbury for their home opener on Saturday, September 10 when they host York College. Kickoff for the home opener on Saturday is at 1:00 pm.
