Old Westbury Men’s Soccer Loses 5-0 in Season-Opener to Johnson & Wales

New Haven, CT The Old Westbury men’s soccer team dropped its season-opener 5-0 to Johnson & Wales in the first round of action at the Albertus Magnus Tournament in New Haven, CT.
Freshman Kyle Nolan had an impressive showing in his first collegiate game, providing several opportunities for the Panthers, despite playing out of position for most of the game. ‘
Old Westbury’s best scoring chance came from sophomore Ian Ashton, but his shot from just inside the 18-yard box sailed high.
The Panthers will return for second round action when they face host Albertus Magnus tomorrow, September 4 at 2:30 pm.
