The Ramapo College men' soccer team topped Old Westbury 4-1 in a non-conference match on Saturday in Mahwah. Ramapo improves to 9-3 overall while Old Westbury falls to 3-7-2.
The Panthers got on the board first when Allan Dinis (Pt. Jefferson Station, NY) connected with Brandon DeNoyer at the 20:40 minute mark for the 1-0 lead.
The Roadrunners tied the game 23 minutes later when Anthony Testa (Middletown, NJ) headed a ball past Brian Hicks (Valley Stream, NY) just prior to the half.
Ramapo tallied three goals in the second half, including Ryan Lahey's(Middletown, NJ) game-winner at the 53:53 mark. Benji Eggart (Paterson, NJ) gave the Roadrunners an insurance goal just under 20 minutes later and Jelderks added a goal at the 77:39 minute mark giving the Roadrunners a 4-1 lead.
The Roadrunners outshot Old Westbury 18-2 in the win. Hicks posted seven saves for the Panthers in the loss.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday at Mt. St. Mary.
