DeNOYER NAMED SKYLINE CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Men's Soccer team was honored this week as Brandon DeNoyer was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week.
Senior goalkeeper Brandon DeNoyet (Scotia, N.Y.) stopped 14 shots and did not allow a goal in two games in leading Old Westbury to the Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship. DeNoyer, who took over in goal at midseason after starter Brian Hicks (Garden City, N.Y.) went down with an injury, was a key player for the Panthers down the stretch. In the 5-0 win over Maritime in the semifinals, DeNoyer stopped eight shots. In the championship match, DeNoyer made six saves holding St. Joseph's (LI) scoreless for the first time in 11 games against Skyline competition.
DeNoyer holds a 6-1-1 record on the season and is allowing an average of only .84 goals against per game. Old Westbury is set to travel to Salisbury University on Saturday, November 10th for the first round of the NCAA Championship Tournament. Game time is slated for 11:00 am.
