CANINO NAMED SKYLINE CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Softball team were honored today as freshman Maria Canino (Huntington, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week.
The freshman shortstop continues to display impressive power in her first season. Canino batted .615 (8-for-13) with a double, triple, one home run, six runs batted in and five runs scored in four games last week. Canino capped the regular season by batting .485 with 11 home runs and 46 runs batted in to go along with five triples for an impressive .990 slugging percentage, all of which are now single-season school records.
