Embry Named Skyline Rookie of the Week

(Little Neck, NY) Monday, December 1, 2003 --- First Year College at Old Westbury student Ashley Embry is enjoying an impressive college basketball debut. Not only is the 5?9? guard from Hempstead leading the Lady Panthers in points scored, points per game and rebounds, she is also first Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week to be named this season. Through 11/30, Embry is averaging 14.7 points per game, 11.7 rebounds per game, and 44 points scored overall. Her individual high game to date is a 19 point, 15 rebound effort against Regis College on 11/23, a 60-41 win for Old Westbury. Embry was selected by Skyline publicist Kim McNulty in Little Neck.
