GILLY NAMED SKYLINE CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Women's Basketball team was honored this week as Shannon Gilly was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week.

Freshman Shannon Gilly (Staten Island, N.Y.) earned Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 13 points and 11.6 rebounds in helping Old Westbury to two victories in three games. Gilly recorded double-doubles against Brooklyn College and St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn.

Old Westbury (5-5, 1-4) as a team ranks third in the conference with an average of 13.22 steals per game and presents an offense that averages 67.1 points per contest (4^th in conference). The Green and Ivory are shooting a conference best 67 percent from the free-throw line (126-for-186).
