KRASNOFF NAMED THE 2007-08 SKYLINE CONFERENCE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACH OF THE YEAR
MARCH 3, 2008
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Women's Basketball coach Michael Krasnoff has been named the Skyline Conference Coach of the Year, the Skyline Conference announced today.
The sixth year Head Coach led the Panthers through a tough season as Old Westbury concluded the 2007-08 campaign with an overall record of 12-14, including 7-11 in league play. Old Westbury competed with six Panthers in 19-of-26 games, including a stretch of four games where the Green and Ivory went 2-2 with only five players.
Krasnoff is the all-time leader in career wins for the Women's Basketball program and holds a record of 74-91. He led the Panthers to the Skyline Conference tournament for the sixth time in six seasons as Head Coach.
"I'm blown away from the recognition that the Skyline Conference presented," said Head Coach Michael Krasnoff. "I can't believe it; I credit the hard work of the entire Women's Basketball team/staff".
Krasnoff's job was made easier with the help of Pamela Robinson, who led the conference and ranked 2nd in the nation in scoring. Robinson was named the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year.
