ROBINSON NAMED TO PRESTOSPORTS/MBWA WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Women's Basketball team was honored today as sophomore Pamela Robinson (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) was named to the PrestoSports/MBWA Weekly Honor Roll.

Pamela Robinson averaged 23 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in three games for the Panthers. On the season, Robinson is pouring in a conference best 22.8 points per game (4^th in nation). Robinson ranks second in the Skyline Conference in the free-throw department, connecting on 83.2 (percent from the line. On the defensive end, Robinson tallies an average of 3.57 steals (20^th in nation) and 5.3 pull-downs per game.

About the PrestoSports/MBWA Weekly Player of the Week Award
Founded for the 2004-05 season, the Player of the Week Award is granted on a weekly basis by the New York Area Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. Each week, each of the nearly 75 schools that play college basketball in the Tri-state area have the ability to nominate one male and one female student-athlete, based upon their on-court accomplishments over the previous seven days. An esteemed panel of eight media members votes to select from the nominations the most outstanding player. Any player who receives any votes, but are not named the Player of the Week, are then named to the Honor Roll.
