ROBINSON NAMED THE SKYLINE CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Women's Basketball team was honored this week as Pamela Robinson was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week.
Sophomore Pamela Robinson (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) averaged 34 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals in a strong individual effort for the Green and Ivory . Robinson recorded back-to-back 30-point games with 38 points against Mount Saint Vincent and 37 against Medgar Evers-the top two offensive games by a Skyline Conference player this season. She wrapped up the week with a game-high 27 points against rival Farmingdale State.
On the season, Robinson is pouring in a conference best 24.1 points per game, which ranks her second in the nation. Robinson ranks second in the Skyline Conference in the free-throw department, connecting on 82.3 percent from the line. On the defensive end, Robinson tallies an average of 3.2 steals per game (6th in conference, 45th in nation).
Old Westbury (7-12, 2-10) is averaging 10.95 steals per game and presents an offense that averages 62.5 points per contest (5th in conference). The Green and Ivory are shooting 65.9 percent from the free-throw line, ranking them second in the conference.
The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, February 6th at Skyline Conference opponent St. Joseph's College (L.I.).
