MARMOL GARNERS FIRST PLACE BEFORE WOMEN'S SWIMMING FINISHES SIXTH AT SKYLINE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

PURCHASE, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Women's Swimming team's Brenda Marmol recorded first place at the Skyline Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon at Purchase College. However, it wouldn't be enough as the Panthers finished sixth overall with 21 points.
Brenda Marmol highlighted individual honors as she led the charge with a first place finish in the 500 freestyle in at 6:21.43. Marmol then followed up with second place honors in the 1000 freestyle (13:13.34). Courtney Reid placed fourth in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:35.56.
The 200 medley relay team of Samantha Beja, Jessica Marmol, Brenda Marmol and Inez Zuska landed the fifth spot with a time of 2:34.38. Brenda Marmol, Courtney Reid, Zuska and Jessica Marmol teamed up to claim seventh place in the 400 freestyle relay at 4:24.28.
