WOMEN'S SWIMMING STUNNED AT DUEL MEET

JAMAICA, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Women's Swim team competed at York College on Friday night for a duel meet with the College of New Rochelle and host, York College. Old Westbury lost to York College 66-45 and then fell to the College of New Rochelle, 120-40.
Against York College, the Panthers claimed five first place medals, despite losing 66-45. Brenda Marmol captured first place in both the 400 Freestyle (5:38.40) and the 50 Butterfly (40.31) while newcomer, Courtney Reid tallied three first place medals. Reid took home first place in the 100 Freestyle in 1:20.66 followed by first place in the 50 Breastroke with a 52.67 finish. Reid tacked on her third first place finish when she claimed the 100 Individual Medley in 1:35.85.

Brenda Marmol led the Panthers against the College of New Rochelle with three first place medals. In the 400 Freestyle, Marmol finished in first place with a time of 5:38.40 followed by a 1:24.98 finish in the 100 Backstroke to claim first place. In the 50 Butterfly, Brenda Marmol completed the hat trick with a first place finish with a time of 36.81. Courtney Reid tallied first place in the 50 Breastroke in at 52.75. Reid followed the performance with second place in the 100 Individual Medley with a finish of 1:35.85.
