Old Westbury, NY ? The Old Westbury women?s volleyball team swept the College of New Rochelle this evening in three quick games, winning 30-7, 30-20 and 30-6. The Panthers improve to 16-5 on the season.
Old Westbury combined for an even attack, with Jessica Ratchford leading the charge with nine kills. Ratchford hit .444 for the match, connecting on half of her 18 attempts with just one error. Whitney Alexander added seven kills on the offensive end, while setter Jennifer Ragone chipped in 27 assists.
Jennifer Hoyt, the national leader in service aces, continued her ways with nine aces in the win.
As a team, Old Westbury hit .358, while New Rochelle hit -.333 with 22 errors.
The Panthers will return to Skyline Conference action on Saturday at Mount St. Vincent. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm.
