Coach Marjahna Segers enters her fifth season as head coach for the Panthers Women's Volleyball team. Coach Segers brought the spark the team had been waiting for to Old Westbury in just her second year during the 2005 season. Under Coach Segers' direction the Panthers made history holding the programs record for the most wins, with 21 wins in 2005 followed by 23 wins in 2006. Many of Segers players placed in conference statistics thanks to her wisdom and guidance. In her first season, Coach Segers led the Panthers to receive its first Skyline Rookie of the Week and All Conference Player from the women's volleyball program.

Before coming to Old Westbury, Coach Segers played volleyball for four years at John Hopkins University and spent time coaching for the women's AAU basketball team, Long Island Wave. Coach Segers is also an assistant coach for the women's basketball team here at Old Westbury.

Segers holds her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and her Masters in Health Administration from Tulane University and is continuing her education in the prestigious accelerated nursing program at SUNY Downstate. Coach Segers is a Long Island native from Hempstead, N.Y.
