DOW CLAIMS INDIVIDUAL TITLE BEFORE PANTHERS FALL TO MEDGAR EVERS

BROOKLYN, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Women's Cross-Country team was downed by Medgar Evers on Wednesday at Prospect Park. Edina Dow led the squad with a first place finish in 13:02. The overall score in the women's race was Medgar Evers 25 Old Westbury 30.
The women placed two runners in the top five, with Dow leading the way. Mayra Okkotsu continued to run extremely well, finishing fifth overall in at 14:58. Samantha Beja clocked in at 15:04 to land in sixth place. Rounding out the women's squad was Courtney Reid (6th 15:26), Rayyahna Badilla (8th 15:49) and Taneia Sample (11th 18:29)
The top runner for Medgar Evers was Shanequa Williams, who tied Dow for first place at 13:02.
