Skyline Conference Championship Final Team/Player Standings
EAST MEADOW, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury senior Steve Stumper (East Meadow, NY) fired an 87 on Sunday to lead the Panthers to a fourth place finish at the Skyline Conference Championship at Eisenhower Park - Red Course. As a team, the Panthers shot +190 (766) for the tournament. Farmingdale State claimed the Skyline Conference Men's Golf Championship for the second consecutive year on Sunday with a 35 stroke win over St. Joseph's College-L.I.
Farmingdale State's senior Masanao Maruyama (Yamanashi, Japan) and St. Joseph's College L.I.'s junior Matt Ranum (Bridgehampton, NY) both registered +6 (150) to share the 2009 Skyline Conference Men's Golf Individual honors.
Steven Stumper shot a +31 (175) for the tournament to finish in 13th place while freshman Matt Lester (Dix Hills, NY) was in a tie for 15th place with +42 (186) after shooting an 88 on Sunday. Senior Joe Perry (Hicksville, NY) rounded out the top three for Old Westbury, finishing 22nd place with a +74 (218) after carding a 108 on Sunday.
