WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES 9th AT STEVENS INVITATIONAL

JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's cross country team placed four runners in the top 50 and took ninth place out of 11 teams in competition at Friday's 14th Annual 4K Stevens Invitational at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. St. Peters College won the team competition as Kelly Watson (Jersey City, NJ) claimed first place in 4k individual for the Peahens.
Senior Krystal Garner (Staten Island, NY) led the way for the Panthers, placing 16th. Freshman Melissa Spleen (Hempstead, NY) was the second finished for Old Westbury, taking 43rd place. Angela Dixon ( , NY) and Carissa Ellis ( , NY) finished back-to-back at 44th and 45th. Senior Rayyanah Badilla (Brooklyn, NY) rounded out the top five finishers for the Panthers; placing 58th followed by classmate Avery Josey (Staten Island, NY) in 60th.
