Jeff Labiento enters his 12th season as SUNY Old Westbury head men's and women's cross country coach.

In each of his 11 seasons at the helm, Labiento saw the student-athletes of two Panthers’ teams establish numerous personal-best records.  During the 2014-15 academic year, Labiento was named SUNY Old Westbury's Coaching Staff of the Year.  Over the past three seasons, six of his student-athletes were named to the All-Skyline Conference Sportsmanship Team.

Labiento also serves as Recreation and Intramural Coordinator and Equipment Manager.

During his first three seasons at Old Westbury (2007-10), Labiento served as the Panthers' assistant men's basketball coach.  Labiento's presence on the bench helped guide the Old Westbury to a 49-33 record during his stretch as assistant coach.

Prior to arriving at Old Westbury, Labiento held the position of assistant women's basketball coach at rival Farmingdale State for seven years.  During his time at Farmingdale State, he helped lead the Rams to the NCAA tournament during the 2002-03 season, and since then to the ECAC championship game each year.

Labiento is well known to the SUNY community, having graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2000 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education and a concentration in Coaching.  Labiento was also a two-year member of the Nassau County Community College men's basketball team before transferring to SUNY Cortland.

Outside of collegiate athletics, Labiento worked as a Physical Educator for pre-kindergarten through eighth grade at St. Joseph's School in Garden City, New York.

Labiento currently resides in Long Beach, New York.
