SENATORE SCORES TWO GOALS TO ELEVATE PANTHERS TO
VICTORY

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old
Westbury Men's Soccer team extended their winning streak to five
games after defeating conference opponent Mount Saint Mary at
Panther Park on Saturday, 4-1. Old Westbury improves to 7-3
overall and 4-0 in conference play while Mount Saint Mary falls to
4-8 overall and 1-4 in conference action.
John Senatore netted two goals and dished out one assist to lead
the Panthers to victory. Senatore didn't wait long to put the
Panthers on the board, finding Justin Leakey 7:37 into the game to
give Old Westbury the one goal advantage. Mount Saint Mary
answered 11:16 later, as Billy Szabo scored on a penalty kick that
sailed past the outstretched arms of goalkeeper Brian Hicks to tie
the game at one. Kimron Annikie scored the game winner in the
30th minute on the receiving end of a pass by Brandon
DeNoyer, giving the Green and White the 2-1 advantage. John
Senatore went onto score his first goal of the day at the 43:58
mark when Justin Leakey set him up for the score to give the
Panthers a two goal advantage. Senatore then scored his
second goal of the game at the 73:40 mark when Kimron Annikie set
him up for the score to give Old Westbury the 4-1 conference
victory.
Goalkeeper Brian Hicks recorded 14 saves in part to a vicious
defense that held Mount Saint Mary scoreless for the final
71:47. Old Westbury out-shot Mount Saint Mary by a 28-19
margin.
Old Westbury returns to action on Tuesday, October
16th to play host to conference opponent Yeshiva
