RAMAPO SPOILS HOME OPENER FOR PANTHERS, 4-0

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old
Westbury Men's Soccer team lost their home opener to Ramapo
College, 4-0. The loss evens out Old Westbury's win-loss
total to 2-2 as Ramapo College improved to 4-0.
The Ramapo College Road Runners drew first blood, when Guiseppe
Trani scored on a put back from a deflected ball off goalie Brian
Hicks in the 20th minute. Arturo Moreira added a
goal in the 25th minute that when over the head of Hicks
to put the Road Runners up, 2-0. Kenny Hussey racked up two
assists on the day, distributing a perfect ball to Kenny Jimenez in
the 32nd minute that was just out of reach of goalie
Divine Jackson. The second Hussey assist was dealt to Arturo
Moreira in the 48th minute to give Ramapo College a four
goal cushion.
Old Westbury was dominated on the offensive end, being out shot
34-6. Justin Leakey led the Panther attack with two shots
while Alexander Renwart, Orlando McFarlane, Brandon DeNoyer and
George Villalta added one shot apiece. Brian Hicks made six
saves before Divine Jackson came into to patrol the cross-bars to
tally a game-high 13 saves.
Old Westbury will look to put the home opening loss behind them,
as they travel on the road to SUNY IT, on Tuesday, September 18th
