OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old
Westbury women's soccer won its final regular-season game of the
2008 season, 7-0 against non-conference opponent, CCNY on Saturday
afternoon at Panther Park.  The win snaps a four game losing
streak for Old Westbury, improving to 5-10 on the season while CCNY
drops to 4-9 on the year.
The game opened up offensively in the first half, most clearly
to Old Westbury's advantage. The Panthers outshot the Beavers 19-2
at the end of the first half and had six corner kicks compared to
just one for CCNY.  Freshman Cassandra Esposito (Valley
Stream, N.Y.) put Old Westbury on the board with an unassisted goal
at the 15:22 mark, followed by her second score just 15 seconds
later to double the lead.  Esposito notched her fourth
hat-trick of the season when she finished a pass from junior
Jennifer Campisi (Commack, N.Y.) at the 16:09 mark to net her
16th goal of the season.  Esposito's hat-trick was
scored in under one minute to push the Panthers ahead, 3-0. 
Old Westbury increased their lead to 4-0 on junior Courtney Dixon's
(Baldwin, N.Y.) third goal of the season off a feed from classmate
Jessica Manning (Carle Place, N.Y.).  Esposito added her
career high fourth goal of the game at the 31:33 mark to finish a
pass by Dixon, giving Old Westbury a commanding 5-0 lead. 
Courtney Dixon added her fourth goal of the season when she put
home a rebound past the outstretched arms of CCNY goalkeeper, Kate
Malytska to stake Old Westbury to a 6-0 lead at 38:33. 
Dixon's second goal of the game capped off a six goal explosion in
less than 24 minutes.  Freshman Chryssanti Nicholas (Albany,
N.Y.) scored the first goal of her collegiate career at the 88:12
mark to finalize a 7-0 topping of CCNY. 
The Panthers outshot CCNY 34-4 and finished with a 9-1 advantage
in corner kicks.  Esposito finished the night with a
team-leading seven shots on goal, while Courtney Dixon posted six
followed by Jennifer Campisi's four.  Four other Panthers
added single or double shots on goal.     
Between Old Westbury's pipes, junior Sherrida Maxwell (Rosedale,
N.Y.) was stellar in goal, tallying two saves, to garner her first
career shutout.  Kate Malytska started for CCNY and made seven
stops while giving up six goals, all in the first half before Ana
Alban played out the final 45 minutes, allowing one goal with nine
saves.   
The Green and Ivory will return to action for the Skyline
Conference Tournament on Tuesday, November 4th on the
