Results
KINGS POINT, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old
Westbury men's swimming team fell to U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
69-19 and York College, 58-21 in non-conference competition on
Thursday evening at the O'Hara Hall Pool in Kings Point.
Sophomore Nicholous Perdomo (Hempstead, N.Y.) had a second-place
finish. Perdomo was the second swimmer to touch the wall in
the 200 freestyle (2:25.05) and in the 100 butterfly he added a
third place finish, clocking in at 1:18.61. Freshman Robert
Rooney (Uniondale, N.Y.) swam a 1:08.44 to finish third in the 100
freestyle.
Freshman Tony Johnson (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), junior John Rodgers
(Hempstead, N.Y.), Nicholous Perdomo and Robert Rooney led the
Panthers to second place honors (2:03.77) in the 200 freestyle
relay.
The Green and Ivory will be back in the pool on Tuesday, January
27th at 7:00 p.m. with a non-conference matchup with the
