Old Westbury at Yeshiva Boxscore

YONKERS, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's soccer team scored four first-half goals and turned in an outstanding defensive performance en route to a dominating 4-1 victory over the Yeshiva Maccabees in a Skyline Conference battle on Monday evening at Tibbetts Brook Par in Yonkers.  After snapping a two-game losing streak with Monday's victory, Old Westbury improves to 8-7-1 on the season and 4-2 in conference play while Yeshiva slips to 3-6 and 0-5, respectively.

The Panthers took the lead in the fifth minute of play when sophomore German Parodis (Mar del Plata, Argentina) scored his second goal of the season by slipping a shot past a diving goalkeeper for the 1-0 advantage.  In the seventh minute, senior Fabian Santibanez (Oyster Bay, NY) initiated a score by finding classmate Conor McKeon (Rockville Centre, NY) for his third score of the season.

German Parodis notched his first assist of the season by finding Ugur Kahvecki (West Babylon, NY) for his third goal of the season, giving the Panthers a comfortable 3-0 lead at the 10:32 mark.

The Old Westbury offense converted one more first-half opportunity at the 25:11 mark as Santibanez settled a pass from McKeon before firing a strike into the back of the net for his team-leading ninth goal of the season.  McKeon's assist was the second of the season.

Yeshiva got on the board in the 68th minute when sophomore Aryeh Rosenberg (Antwerp, Belgium) found freshman Elesir Nuvakhov (Moscow, Russia) for his second goal of the season.

Old Westbury outshot Yeshiva in the match by a 17-12 count, including a 9-8 edge in shots on goal.  The Panthers held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks on the evening.  Junior Darian Bryan (Elmont, NY) saved seven shots on the match while junior Mark Rocklin (Rochester, NY) had four stops in a losing effort.
