STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old
Westbury women's volleyball team did not get off to the start that
head coach Marjahna Segers would have hoped for to begin the 2009
season, but on Saturday afternoon in Staten Island earned a pair of
victories in sweeping fashion, topping Staten Island (25-16, 25-18,
25-8) and Maritime (25-16, 25-10, 25-15) at the CSI Sports
and Recreation Center to improve to 4-9 on the season.

travels to the NYU-Polytechnic Fighting Blue Jays on Tuesday,
Sept.22 for Skyline Conference battle. First serve is slated
